Group Hike 2 - Tugela Falls and Champagne Valley

• 4 days, 3 nights

What this includes:

• 2-night stay on top of the Drakensberg
• 1-night stay in a newly refurbished guesthouse in Champagne Valley
• All hiking meals for 3 days of hiking
• Braai at the guesthouse overlooking Champagne Castle
• Brunch in the valley on the 4th day
• Hiking fees and permits
• Shuttle to Sentinel Car Park
• Small hiking goodie bag upon arrival
• Registered mountain guide

What this does not include:

• Transport to Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge
• Transport from Witsieshoek to Champagne Valley
• Transport back from Champagne Valley
• Hiking equipment like backpacks, tents, or sleeping gear
• Any additional hiking snacks
  

Itenary includes:

Day 1

• 7.5km - 700m elevation gain
• Meet at Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge at 09:00
• Start hiking at 09:30 to the top of the tallest waterfall in the world

Day 2

• 9km - 400m elevation gain
• Hike along the escarpment to Devil's Tooth, Mont-Aux-Sources, then Ifidi. Walk back inland to Lesotho until we reach Bilanjil Falls!

Day 3

• 14km - 100m elevation gain
• Hike back from Devil's Tooth to Sentinel Car Park
• Drive from Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge to Drakenzicht Guesthouse
• Enjoy a prepared meal overlooking the glorious Champagne Valley

Day 4

• Stroll on the farm
• Enjoy a slow morning on the farm followed by a full brunch in the valley
• Drive back home
